JOB TITLE: Draftsman
LOCATION: Elizabeth City, NC
REPORTS TO: Program Manager
This position is with our customer, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), specifically the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), who requires a skilled Draftsman.
The Coast Guard is both a federal law enforcement agency and a military force, and therefore is a faithful protector of the United States in peacetime and war. In times of peace, the Coast Guard operates as part of the Department of Homeland Security, enforcing the nation's laws at sea, protecting the marine environment, guarding the nation's vast coastline and ports, and performing vital life-saving missions. In times of war, or at the direction of the President, the Coast Guard serves as part of the Navy Department, defending the nation against terrorism and foreign threats.
This position will support ongoing requirements of the United States Coast Guard Aviation Logistics Center in Elizabeth City, North Carolina!
This position will correct, create, edit, and update drawings and illustrations for the CG Aviation Logistics Center Product Lines: manuals, techpubs (technical publications), and MPC’s.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in the development and modification of Engineering Drawings from aviation technical manuals and parts for assembly or to manufacture.
- Shall have the ability to understand and provide a finished product performed to local and industry illustrating standards.
- You should have an efficient computer drafting skill-set that enables you to complete assigned work to standard and no later than assignment target date set.
- Other duties as assigned.
